Runnymede is home to the famous Thorpe Park which attracts over
a million visitors per year. The Borough is also within easy reach
of a number of other major destinations including Windsor Castle,
Legoland, Hampton Court, Sandown and Windsor Racecourses and Central
London.
Royal Holloway - University of London, located on the A30 near
Egham, is home to a collection of valuable paintings, including
the famous ‘Princes in the Tower’ by Millais. The University
also offers programmes of recitals and dramatic productions by students.
Places to enjoy the great outdoors include Runnymede Meadow, St.
Ann’s Hill and part of Windsor Great Park including the lake
at Virginia Water.
