Sport is well-catered for in the Borough. There are two sports centres and several golf courses, including the internationally recognised Wentworth Club. Egham, Chertsey and Virginia Water have their own football teams and Englefield Green hosts cricket matches on the village green throughout the summer. Foxhills Country Club and local hotels offer a range of health and leisure facilities. The River Bourne Health Club, which includes a publicly accessible swimming pool, is in the centre of Chertsey.

Annual events in the Borough include the Egham Royal Show, Magna Carta Day and, in Chertsey, the Agricultural Show and Black Cherry Fair.

  Attractions
 

Runnymede is home to the famous Thorpe Park which attracts over a million visitors per year. The Borough is also within easy reach of a number of other major destinations including Windsor Castle, Legoland, Hampton Court, Sandown and Windsor Racecourses and Central London.

Royal Holloway - University of London, located on the A30 near Egham, is home to a collection of valuable paintings, including the famous ‘Princes in the Tower’ by Millais. The University also offers programmes of recitals and dramatic productions by students.

Places to enjoy the great outdoors include Runnymede Meadow, St. Ann’s Hill and part of Windsor Great Park including the lake at Virginia Water.

Those with 4 star status include the Runnymede Hotel and Spa (Egham), Great Fosters (Egham), Savill Court (Englefield Green) and Foxhills (Ottershaw). Wentworth Club (Virginia Water) and Royal Holloway, University of London also provide conference facilities and accommodation. There is a good range of restaurants and smaller high quality hostelries including wine bars and country pubs.
