Relevance to Runnymede Borough Council ............................................................................
The state report is intended to offer accurate and up to date information describing the Borough. The report uses indicators of sustainability such as the average property price against average earnings.
This information can be used to set priorities for policies and action, for the Council as well as other organisations tasked with developing the Borough more sustainably.
Runnymede's approach

The state report is composed of a series of sustainable development indicators. Reporting on these annually serves many purposes including:
- Describing the Council's progress in maintaining and enhancing the attainment of sustainable development targets
- Prioritises policy development and action, including acquiring data
- Offers a comprehensive source of information on the Borough for numerous monitoring information needs, both within and outside the Council
- Provides the vehicle to report positive efforts by all in the Borough that contribute to achieving sustainable development
