The Crime and Disorder Act of 1998 views crime and disorder as opposing the whole basis of a community and a reduction in crime as a central aspect of the process of inclusion.

Runnymede's objectives and indicators

Runnymede's sustainability objective is to reduce crime and fear of crime.

Crime in Runnymede is low in comparison with the rest of England for all four major categories of crime. County-wide, the number of people who fear of crime are markedly lower than the average in England.
