The State of Runnymede 2005 aims to provide a picture of the borough using a series of economic, environment, community and resource-use based indicators. This website is intended to stimulate debate, to provide information ways to act more sustainably and to highlight the issues that the Council believe need to be tackled to improve the borough. Have a look at this website and let us know what you think!

Each indicator is described according to whether it is on target, either:

good neutral poor or no data

The indicators where the borough is performing particularly well or poorly are highlighted as being key issues for the borough. Some issues the Council are able to tackle directly, but most will require wider participation for the borough to increase its sustainability.

Approaches to sustainable living change as new technology and ideas are developed, but this website aims to influence positive change through the practical support for the most sustainable approach available under each theme. Wherever possible, further information has been provided in order for people to build to find their own answers to the issues they face.
