RUNNYMEDE BUSINESS AWARDS For Environmental Responsibility

Are you based in the Borough of Runnymede and work for an organisation with good environmental practice?

Each and every one of us has a responsibility to care for our environment. This year Runnymede Borough Council launched the Runnymede Business Awards for Environmental Responsibility. The scheme sponsored this year by Three Valleys Water, aims to reward those organisations, in the borough, that have demonstrated good environmental practice in the workplace.

However small or large your organisation, whether you have just started to take steps to develop and environmental project or whether environmental responsibility is impregnated in the culture of your organisation, you qualify to take part in the awards.

Benefits for Entrants

• The award demonstrates corporate commitment to environmental issues and recognises staff achievement.
• It highlights the winning businesses/organisations environmental credentials to the local community
• Winners are automatically entered in the Surrey Sustainable Business Awards; the winner of which go forward to the South East England Sustainable Business Awards 2002.

So even if you've only just started "greening up your act", you deserve some credit and we would like to hear from you.
