HOW THE DEPARTMENT IS ORGANISED

The Technical Services Department has a staff of around 150 under the Director of Technical Services.

The Department is divided into three divisions - Engineering, Environmental Protection, and Planning together with the Safer Runnymede Section and an overall Administration Section.

The Engineering Division includes Drainage, Engineering, Building Control, Building Services, and the Direct Services Organisation, which collects refuse and is responsible for street cleansing and litter removed.

The Environmental Protection Division is divided into residential and commercial teams.

The Planning Division includes Development Control and Policy & Implementation.

Contact Points

In the first instance enquiries should normally be made to the Administration Section who will assist, or call an officer if you have technical questions. Please note that it is not always possible for a particular member of the Department to be available to assist you with your enquiries as much of their work takes them out of the office.

Below is the hierarchy of the department, click on the red text to take you to other sections and descriptions.
