This is a site in excess of 180 acres with great historic interest.
Mostly owned by the National Trust, this is the site of the sealing
of The Magna Carta. Beautiful wooded slopes of Coopers Hill are worth
visiting. Daily access with "Pay and Display" car park available.

SAVILL GARDEN, WICK LANE, ENGLEFIELD GREEN, EGHAM
A 35 acre site of woodland garden, offering a great deal to interest
visitors. Spring bulbs, followed by displays of colourful shrubs and trees.
A formal garden with roses and herbaceous borders. The Temperate House
and an interesting 'dry' garden. A magnificent Autumnal display of colour
is to be seen. There is also a bookshop, plant centre, picnic site and
restaurant. Admission charge.

VALLEY GARDENS, WINDSOR GREAT PARK, VIRGINIA WATER
A 400 acre site of woodland gardens, including heather garden.
Rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias are to be seen surrounding Virginia
Water Lake. Open daily.
The
4,500 acres of park includes Windsor Castle, the Copper Horse on Snow
Hill (an equestrian statue of George III dressed in Roman toga), the Long
Walk (a three mile avenue of trees) and Frogmore Mausoleum, where the
bodies of both Queen Victoria and the Prince Consort rest.
